i want to change my wallpaper yet i have a limited account
and when i use to right click on desktop then properties to change my wallpaper all the option are deactive so that i could not change this.
i also try to set as desktop background it does affected to change the wallpaper.

currently i using windowsxp professional.

Is sounds to me that you don't have administrative rights on the computer. try logging on as an administrator.

if you know the filename of the picture file for your wallpaper and its folder location, then you can rename the new wallpaper to the current wallpaper filename and then copy and paste to overwrite the current wallpaper file in its folder location.

do not mess with security though as the administrator does not like it if your pc is in a network.

You are not the System Administrator!

Your system is connected to a network!

You System Administrator has set Group Policies to manage this!

try this:
find a picture in the net, rigth click and choose "set as desktop item..."

it is not exactly wallpaper, but your computer will be different ;)

ask your administrator to have you access your desktop
