Innocent. We're born innocent. As we grow, we learn about the world, society, religion, etc. from those around us. Among the things we learn are concepts of "good" and "evil", which are purely subjective ideas. As Shakespeare so elouquently put it in Hamlet, "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."

In popular culture, sex is seen as evil, the ultimate sin. No "sin" is more reviled, more judged than the very natural act of sex. In that light, it is no wonder that this value is often expressed in horror films where two people having sex are the first that the criminally insane escapee kills.

Having children is neither selfish nor altruistic. It is the way our species--any species!--survives. Yet again, we see the same judgement call because of the societal taboo on sex.

Having sex and becoming parents does not have any effect on an individuals goodness. People who are "good" will remain "good" after they have children. Likewise, people who are "evil" will remain "evil" after they have children.

I do think that some people are born bad. It's not all genetics. Some have the best parents and up bringing, but end up demented, evil people. By the same token, environment can effect some people if they're (maybe) not smart enough to get themselves out of a bad place/ situation.

Becoming parents opens up your eyes! I think unfortunately some people are just born into the wrong family to evil people and then they become evil because they are taught the ways of evil.
Irish people are far from evil ' blind wood carver', why do you say that?

Innocent !

We all come to earth as innocent Prince or Princess.
We grow up — and than we are on ourselves. To be
grown up means You cannot blame other people for
being good or evil (not the parents and the teachers
either) — You do have a choice.

We are born as Prince and Princess — but most
people drive to Hell as complete a***holes !!!

People are all born the same. It's the way their brought up that makes them good/evil. Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Pol pot, Slobodam Milosevic & Robert Mugabe were all mistreated as children.
The virgins in horror films are always sacrificed!

This question is frequently asked and the answer can be figured out by how babies react.

We are all born with personalities. We do not acquire it from society.

For example, a baby will start crying if it sees its mom with another baby, thus showing jealously.

Also, read the book, Lord of the Flies

Even the worst individual was born innocent. They may have had defects when they were born, but still knew no evil. That has to be instilled in them by their family & environment.

We are born with inherited traits that may portent either goodness or evil. The tipping points will become the environment and manner we are raised.

People are born more inclined to do "evil" than "good". That's why societies have to tightly nurture the little bastards before they become adults and start running amok.

I tend to think ppl are born blank. becoming evil or innocent is what the surrounding teaches them,, not just parents, but friends, media..everything. a kid takes in everything and whatever dat he/she sees, he/she percieves them as what the surroundings percieve them to be..

maturing, sex and becoming parents..im not sure how all of those compare to being good and evil?
