I saw a video on filecabi.net of a crocodile attacking a young antelope and amazingly a hippo was the one that came to the rescue. The hippo proceeded to nudge the young animal out of the water and chase away the croc who remained close by watching the hippo. The hippo then tried to resuscitate the baby. It was incredible because it looked like it was going to eat it. Sadly the baby died and the hippo left. The croc swooped in to claim it's prize but he did it only when the hippo was gone. I suppose he knew there was a danger there.

On UTUBE there is another video of a tiger actually killing an alligator. It jumps on its back holds on and bites it in the neck. They were fighting for food.

I would guess a hippo. They are very big as a full adult. Their teeth have been known to even break bones. So a croc would be an easy target for a hippo. But they stay there distance from one another mosty. Until one gets out of line and then they get grumpy. Mainly over food or young. I have also seen were a group of hippos have tacken meat away from some crocs.(And they don't really eat meat, they are vege eatter. So knowone really knows why but everyonce in a while they will eat meat.) So they hippo and croc crossed paths their also.
Hope i helped!
