So..Kirun..obscenity in questions and and answers is fine as long as it's not "Hateful"
Thank you for your answer, and my subsequent enlightenment .....I truly am indebted!

Sorry Kirun, I just now reread your answer and funnily enough don't remember posting any "foaming hate-filled rants" , just answered a few questions here and there which I ascertained were well within my .intellectual sphere.

Free speech does not mean "You are required to spread my message for me". This is Yahoo's server, not yours, they have the right to delete what they want. Yahoo Answers, note the "Answers" in that, is for people making genuine queries when they want to know something. It is NOT for expressing your personal hateful opinions, and adding "what do you think?" in order to make it a question. If you want to post your foaming hate-filled rants, go pay for your own web hosting at a provider who's T&Cs allow it. Yahoo is right to make this appeal to as broad an audience as possible - this means enforcing the rules.

This is the same question I have had recently. Good of you to ask. I can tell the same story as the other two mentioned. They even threatened to shut down my account. I thought that was over the top.

I only had one answer deleted. That was because it was deemed to be "not an answer". In my opinion I was sarcastically saying that the question did not deserve an answer but i didn't bother to defend my answer. It's not like the points were going to buy me a house.

Someone asked who you would kill Bush or Blair, and I said 'both' - I got reported and deleted! Wtf?!
