The old coat hanger trick. Get a wire coat hanger and some pliers . Cut the hook part off the coat hanger and straighten the wire. Use some needle nose pliers and bend a small hook on the end of the wire.Work the wire in between the door and frame using a flat pry bar to make the crack bigger.Be careful with that paint and rubber weather stripping.Hook the door latch and open the door.

Please note ref withering's answer - if your car has side airbags do NOT poke around under the weather strip. A coat hanger down the top of the door to the pull button will work fine, Get the coat hanger sliding down the glass with the hook pointing at the other side, with the hook bent at the right angle it will wedge itself between the glass and the button making it easier to pull up.

contained in the door panel there's a c clip that holds the major cylynder contained in the door. It has probable fallen off. in case you could not locate it contained in the bottom door it really is an inexpensive section to purchase. The c clip is bent in order to carry stress hostile to the door. Junk yards will understand what you're speaking about in case you assert you want a lock cylinder clip for a cherokee.

If your a tripple A member, they'll come out and open it for free, otherwise, you could call your local police department they may or may not come out and unlock it for ya. Or, call a locksmith, depending on the time it takes for him to open it, it could cost between $35.00 and $75.00. Why don't he try using a hanger first, if that doesn't work, or if it's going to ruin the paint or anything, call the locksmith or local police and explain.

motor assistance organisations would be your best bet (AA, RAC, Green Flag), failing that try asking the police (they may help, or they may be able to give you some pointers of who could unlock it

failing that look out for a chavster, with the trademark baseball hat & slack jawed look - they seem to be able to break into cars in seconds with no damage

Get a locksmith! I cannot assure they are going to fix it totally but they are likely to.
