Don't forget the Right stands for fiscal responsibility, unlike the tax-and-spend left. Republicans spend on useful things like war and secret prisons. If you let the left-wing nutjobs in power, they'd spend it on health and education. Can you imagine what a waste of money that would be?

The government gets its money from its citizens trough taxes.It does not dole money to the citizens.The real purpose of the Government is to protect and defend the citizens,the rest is all beside the point.
