can't play music, can't get anything. all sound is gone, tis like i've gone deaf.

i have no audio device. how do i get one? or indeed get it back.

reinstall the drivers for you sound and video .its on a CD that came with the PC
if you have disabled it right click my computer > properties > hardware > device manager
scroll down to sound, video and game controlers . right click any that have a red cross throught them and click enable

Try system restoring it to an earlier date than when you deleted the software. Start > All Programs > Accesories > system tools > system restore

Go into my computer , Go to change a setting. Go to Performance and maintenance , click on sound and you should be able to fix your problem. If not you can always go into settings and restart your computer from an earlier date prior to your mistake .

first make sure there plugged in and if you dont see volume icon go to control panel and you should see the volume
