We use a product that is carried by Walmart (and possibly Sam's). It is called: Super Iron Out
It can be used for many cleaning purposed but we have found that if used on "whites" it removes the dinginess altogether.
We simply fill the washer with water, put in the required amount of Super Iron Out, run the agitator in the washer for about 30 seconds to mix it up well, then we put the whites in let them agitate for about a minute and then stop the washer and let the clothes soak for about an hour. Then finish the wash cycle.
This has always done the trick for our family.
Hope this helps.

Bleaching over time turn whites yellow.
Try adding drops of Mrs Stewarts blueing.
Add the drops to water before laundry soap and before adding clothing.
Unfortunately, this product can not be used in front load washers......I miss using it.

Washing them in bleach and warm water..If they are stained try soaking them for an hour before washing. Also using Mule Borax will give it a boost also w/ the bleach & washing..

Never wash them with anything that is not white and do not overload your washer. I like oxyclean with detergent.
Hot water sets in stains. You can also pour liquid detergent directly on stains before you wash.

Napisan....Also if you are in the northern hemisphere, you can add a touch of pink dye to make it extra white and if youre in the southern hemisphere add a touch of blue to make it extra white. Weird...but it works...kinda like why our toilets flush in different directions...one of lifes little mysteries

vanish and a good quality ie one of the more expensive washing powders.
ACe bleach is good especially if the shirt has coloured logos or such on it so that can't just bleach the whole thing.
