It is well thought out question containing the self evident answer. The sooner we realise the folly of having any business with the military junta headed by Musharraf, the better for the country. Pakistan is the most dubious nation in the map of world. The funny thing is that the Americans continue to hobnob with them, unashamedly. They will pay the price for it.

From where did you get those facts? Do you have any proof of those points? What do you know about Pakistan? Pakistan is an extremely factionalized country, there are many parts where the government doesn't have control, tribal leaders basically don't want government interference and just want to live on thier own. There are surely some parts where the Taliban does operate, and the Pakistani government recently signed a truce with the Pakistani Taleban. They have lost over 600 soldiers in the Taliban theatre in Afganistan, that's quite a loss even considering that the Pakistani forces are well armed. Pakistan government has done a good job in severly disrupting Taliban's operations, such that they can't conduct any more terror operations. They have killed more Taleban than any other force. If you want to know more, you should read General Musharaff's book, titled; In the Line of Fire. Its very interesting and contains many key facts. God bless humanity.

First of all a very good question raised......... How much proof do we need.
For all those who have said "We want a proof" let me inform you that CBI (Central Bureau of Intelligence:Indian Intelligence Body)stunned all by bringing out a top secret conversation of Mushharaf with ISI during the Kargil war discussing the plans of invasion. The then Prime Minister of Pakistan,Nawaz Sharif himself admits that the Kargil war was a pre-planned move to pressurize India on the Kashmir issue.
When Osama attacked the Twin Towers,USA didn't think twice to invade Afghanistan. They did the same with Iraq. Then why does India have to ask whether to attack Pakistan or not.
We,the people of the Largest democracy in the world, know what prices we have to pay everyday.
It's proved beyond doubt now that Pakistan is harbouring international gangster Dawood Ibrahim. They are giving him shelter so that through his terror network they can meet their motives.
Pakistan is a partner in the crime of Terrorism but it's a shame that countries like USA support these countries who are playing games to meet their motives.

The West is clearly afraid as the Pakis have nukes. They are scared to take on the PAkis on their home ground as they know they will get defeated and nuked as well...

The West has data which shows tht there is cumpolsary Jehadi training given to boys when they turn of age in Pakistan. Thus like Israel most of the population is trained in arms, sabotage and killing . the pakis can buy and hoard guns in their houses ...

and what makes this more dangerous is that the school books glorify islam and as well as challenge the west and also teach all that Islam is under attack from the west and they must be ready to die and kill for the religion....

this level is readiness to fight and kill does not exist with americans and other westerners whose only joy is in self indulgence.

how else do you explain really learned ppl in britain doing top jobs, having post graduate degrees pick up a bag or explosives - walk into a train and blow it up !!!!

the west is scared that if they intimidate the pakis they will have a tough time much more tough than afghanistan and iraq...

too much testosterone. Actually, I believe a lot of the mid-eastern people are behind the times. Just like the Amish in the U.S. It attracts a lot of attention when you are so different. but, anybody can be a threat if they want to. They are not the only threat. Terrorists are not exclusive to Pakistan.

I completely disagree with you on that. What makes you people think this way about Pakistan and who in the world gave you people the right to blame Pakistan for all this.I am a pakistani, and a very PROUD pakistani.Let me tell you people one thing. If you people think that Pakistan is filled of terrorists, then i think America is over flooded with terrorist. Why dont you people look into your country first, before blaming some other country.Bush is the biggest terrorist. He has killed over a million dozen innnocent people, just because he wanted to be the ruler of the world and he wanted all of the OIL???How lame is that??These days, people have a totally different view about Pakistan. Please let me clarify this. All these attack mentioned by you, arent by Pakistani terrorists, its just that this thing has been said repeatedly by Bush that now you people think that this is true.Pakistan is a very good country. These days, whenever you people are told about a pakistani, the first thing coming in your mind is 'All the Pakistanis are terrorists'which is absolutely wrong. We are human beings like you, just with a different religion. We have a family as well, and we dont like being called terrorists without any reason, and i am sure you people wouldnt also.In a reply i read that someone said that we Pakistanis hate you people. No this is wrong. To us it seems that you people hate us,and this causes anger within us.When we hear you people blaming us for each and everything thing and calling us terrorists, yes,we do hate you people at that point, and tell me,wouldnt you hate us if you were in OUR place??.So please, remember that we are human beings as well.Terrorists are all over the world, not only in Pakitan. You people call someone who bombs another country,a terrorist;but have you ever gone into the debt and thought why this person has done this.Something might have happened with him, which made him go to such an extent;and the answer is,Bush's bombing and killing innocent MUSLIMS which surely angers all of us;because not only Muslims, but you all are our brothers and sisters. The differences that are being created, are from your side.We never had a grudge against anyone till you people started to think and say that 'Terrorist=Muslims' which is wrong! We never hated anyone, till our other innocent Muslim brothers and sisteres were being killed;and now i guess, the reason why in every speech Bush says,Pakistan is filled with terrorists,is because he is preparing his people to go against us and then he will attack us and kill us without no reason and this will cause more anger around the world.I wonder why we cant live, for once,in complete PEACE!

Do yourself a favor and watch "Terror Storm" on Google Video. I guarantee you'll be questioning at least one or two of the statements you made above. At this point anything we hear or read from mass media should be considered political propaganda that is masterfully orchestrated to make us believe whatever it is that'll serve their next purpose.
For example, "Under Bush, a New Age of Prepackaged TV News
By DAVID BARSTOW and ROBIN STEIN
Published: March 13, 2005
At least 20 federal agencies have made and distributed hundreds of television news segments in the past four years."

How about RSS, BJP, VHP, Shivsena, narender modi, Bajrang dal, bal thackeray...............??

How many innocent muslims were massacred by these hindu terrorists?. These are the guys who stage manage all the attacks and blame it on others.

Don't hide behind Gandhigiri and organise all terror attacks.

It doesn't mean Pakistan does not do such things. They have created talibaan and now paying a heavy price for it.

It has become very convenient for hindu terrorists to do anything in India and just blame Pakistan.
