Sorry to say but he does because he's a toy.Go back and rewatch both movies.

You've either not watched the movie properly or your not getting the point, it quite obvious to everyone who's ever watch Toy Story that Buzz is suffering from dissociation complex. Believing himself not a toy, but the real Buzz light-year on an Alien planet.
So he doesn't feel the need to freeze when Andy enters the room as he is unaware he a toy and doesn't realise that toys ain't meant to be living being in the eyes of humans, which the film suggests there are.

Buzz doesnt freeze cos he is not aware that it is needed of him to freeze he believes that he is a space ranger he has no knowledge of the fact that hes a toy or that hes not supposed to move infront of ppl.

Good question...I was going to say Eh what you on about....but you're right. If he thinks he's not a toy then why does he not move around when Andy comes in ? maybe 'cos the other toys don't ,I dunno....

buzz lightyear is a toy....the film is called toy story... woody is a toy, spud head is a toy, barbie is a toy.... oh my they are all toys...that's why they must of called it toy story
