1 inch = 25.4 mm
Multiply 25.4 mm by required sizes.

6/32 * 25∙4 = 4.7625mm
8/32 * 25∙4 = 6.35mm

an inch is roughly 25.4 mm

so multiply 25.4 by 6 (or 8) then divide by 32

6/32 = 4.76mm
8/32 = 6.35mm

roughly

I would stick with using imperial screws for things imperial screws are designed to fit, and metric screws with things metric things are designed to fit

angle-of is correct. but i do it differently.
because 1 inch = 25.4 mm.
i divide 25.4 by the bottom number
then simply multiply the result by the top number
it doesn't matter what the fraction
it works everytime

to convert measurements try http://www.convertit.com/Go/ConvertIt/Measurement/Converter.ASP
but no metric screws will fit straight in, not without re-tapping. if they are wood screws or something similar thou it might work
