That's not true for me, because doesn't chatting on the Internet improve your communication skills? You have the freedom of being yourself and saying how you feel online, but you don't always have that in the real world. I know some people pretend to be something they're not online, but I've met a lot of real people with real personalities via the Internet. Then, wouldn't successful conversations actually inspire people to do the same offline?

ya maybe it can be considering it's an escape from reality. l only use it when l'm bored. l'd much rather meet real people but everyone seems to be in their own world. So yes we can fanasize about the people we meet on the other side of the world and yes it is a fantasy world because we really never know who we are really chatting with.
