my neighbours little girl brought home her sunflower from school just as they were breaking up for the hols and she asked me to look after it so i have the tallest sunflower now i have ever seen .I have turned it round so that she can see it every day out of her kitchen window as i just transfered it to a bigger pot as it got bigger. I hope this does not happen as she will be very upset

thats a really nasty thing to do! grrr mindless nastiness like that really annoys me. you'll have to get your kids some seeds and let them grow something else to be proud of. b+q do nice little sets for kids - try the ones that attract butterflies, they come in a pack and i've grown some lovely flowers from them.
my sunflowers died all by themselves sadly
