I think the "correct" age for becoming a mother varies from woman to woman. My sister and my best friend both had their first babies by age 21, I didn't have my 1st until I was 31. As far as more difficulty conceiving, With both my kids I conceived within days. (Age 30 & 33) Again, I think it just depends on the individual woman as everyone has a different health history, genetics, etc. Your Ob/Gyn would be the best person to offer you advice on this topic.

It did take me a little while to get pregnant with my first child. I stopped taking the pill when I was 30 and got pregnant at 32. With my second however all I had to do was say the word baby and I was pregnant. I am due today with my second and my 35th birthday is 12 days away. I guess it depends on the individual.

Great age to be a mother. I think its more about security, do you have a home? a stable income, a healthy relationship with your partner?
are you balanced mentally?
These things come age, I have heard many stories about babies after 30. My father in law got a 37 year old preggo, and she carried fine and got pregnant quick into the relationship. so I dont know.

There is really no such thing as a correct time, unless a person wanted to consider becoming an adult first? Fertility varies so much from woman to woman that a standard or statistic can't really be applied on a personal level.

They say that after 30 it gets harder to conceive.if you want one and your not 40 yet do it now!!!! Personally I think that having them young lets you have freedom when your 40. Who wants a baby when they are 40...by that time you want to travel or be in a different stage of your life. I think of it this way....having a baby at 40 means it wont be 20 you are 60.
Thats personal opinion. I had my first at 17 and second at 25.

I'm 40 and I conceived in 2 months, so not from my standpoint, but everyone is different. I know girls that are in their 20's and are having trouble. Having a baby when you are like 17 is way, way too young. You are not nearly mature enough. You are just maturing when your child is.

I'm not sure, but I don't know that pregnancies at or over 35 are high-risk. So I would say before then definitely.
