I have two options. In Qatar (doha), a developing country, I can work with satisfactory salary, well addressed job descripton (800 million $ airport project for 2 years). Career is clear.Job is fine but I know nobody in Qatar. Socializing matters.
In Dubai, a developed place, cosmopolit and english speaking, job is not clearly desripted but same salary. People I know there from business environment and friends are advantage to me. And city is beautiful.
I have to choose..which one?? why?

I think you should opt Qatar. Dubai is also a nice place.
Good things about Qatar
1. Less traffic compared to Dubai.
2. Clam and quiet place. Very safe to live.
3. Language is not a prob...most of the shops and in public places they do speak English.
4. There are many westerners.
5. Fastest developing economy.
6. The new airport is one of the prestigious project in Qatar.
7. Liquor is not allowed in public.. I mean alcohol is served only in Star hotels. but you can get a liquor permit and drink from home or for parties.
8. cost o living is less compared to Dubai.
I am sure you will find many friends in due course. Expat people are more friendly.

Well i would like to tell you to go for Qatar, since you do not know anyone there, you will definitely find a friend, you will also get to know a different culture by meeting different people and besides if socialising really matters, the asian games are coming up in december and they will be held in Doha,Qatar who would want to miss a chance like that, i wont.
Go for Qatar.

I have a lot of friends in these countries, go for Qatar, you will build all relations in 2 years. To discover sth new always better. You never know, so, I would go for the country I don't know! It is not only about opportunity , it's about new challenging job :) and you have huge opportunity ! Take care!!!

qatar of course.. because qatar is a developing country.. and they are building many establishments and companies there.. they're preparing for the asian games this coming december 1-15.. professionals there are highly paid even the undergraduates.. and things and foods are cheaper than dubai..

If you leave your country to work in another country,the reason is
substantial sum of money you can save.
Qatar is expanding,you'll have more and more people coming in.
Dubai is much nicer to live in,but life is horribly expensive,inless you are offered free lodgings,a car,school fees for children if you
have any.iF the "unless" is not fulfilled,then take Qatar.

I would choose Dubai It is more developed, and the skyline is forever changing so there would more opportunity for further possible promotion wihin the industry. Also it is quite multi cultural, look up this website
