Now that's a tough question... even if I think about it I'm sure I'll miss some. I'll give you a top 5, in no particular order.
1. White Stripes - Fell in love with a girl
High speed Lego brilliance with a song that's a short, sharp shock to the system.
2. Chemical Brothers - Let forever be
Gonna have to go with you on this one. Great vid.
3. Cardigans - My favourite game
The high speed suicidal drive is really cool, and the song totally fits in with the video. And the bit where she dies at the end is funny. ;-)
4. Fatboy Slim - Weapon of choice
Getting Christopher Walken to do this was a stroke of genius.
5. Fiona Apple - Criminal
No clever tricks, just excellent cinematography with a slightly disturbing sexy-anorexic Fiona looking very enticing.
There's so many other great ones... If I had to give a top 10 I'd add Jamiroquai's Virtual Insanity, Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun, RHCP - Californication (wish I could be in a video game!), A-Ha - Take on me, Michael Jackson - Thriller (for turning music videos into art and teaching the singers to dance!)
Hmmm, thinking about it: I'm gonna agree - "Let forever be".

i think that there are more than one fabulous, marvelous, perfect music videos out there.you can sort them by music style(rap, hip hop,pop etc),by the sex of the singer(male ,female, group etc),the atmosphere of the video(there are videos in studios,or in open air ).generally i believe that there is a best video from every period of the music industry, definetely not of all time!
i personally am so touched by these:
justin timberlake:cry me a river-sensual,sensitive
madonna:the power of good bye-dynamic,ethnic
nirvana:come as you are-direct,youthful
prodigy:smack my ... up-weird,rebel
beyonce:dejavu-great photography,stylish

Smooth criminal by Michael Jackson. It was more of a mini movie and the artistry and dance was phenomenal. I still get goose bumps.
