yes it's okay to use simple html in notepad, you don't need dreamweaver. Check out htmlgoodies.com and explain it all.

I would actively discourage the use of dreamweaver because its auto generated HTML is impossible to read. I would recommend using an editor that does code highlighting, though, as that can make your life much easier; I don't much about the windows tools to do this, though.

Just because you write it by hand, doesn't mean your page has to be boring. And you have a much finer control over exactly what's going on.

i think if you are using a notepad to write simple html for your website there is no need fot website creating software unless you want to just put the stuff on the page and let the program do the coding for you.

all you need to do is find a website that gives codes and then when you need a code that you done know.......copy and paste the code from the website and edit it to do what you need it for on the website

Writing simple HTML in notepad is boring. People want a web page to be interesting. Take a look at www.freewebs.com and use a stencil web page or create your own.

softwares like dreamweaver are used to help in making webpages and save our time. they reduce burden of remembering tags and attribute syntax of HTML
depite u can use a plain note pad to create a webpage

yeh it can be done with notepad alone if you are not looking for a 'buffed-up' website
