When you go into the software you used to sync those songs, there is an option to delete the contents/files.

Depending on how you connect that device, if you plug it through USB, then an icon should come up in "My Computer" as a removable disk, just go in that way and delete the files manually.

If your device comes with software, you could probably use the software to delete the music off of it that way.
