I can't sleep, my allergies are making me very uncomfortable. I borrowed an allegra from my mom and it helped for a while, now it's 4:50 am and my sinuses are itchy, my nose is constantly running, and my sinuses hurt. Can I take a benadryl even though I still have allegra in my system?

Yes, it's completely safe. Allegra doesn't work for me either. The Benadryl should help the allergies and help you sleep too.

Yes. It may keep you drowsy but gives relief.
