I can't recommend any websites but I can say that yoga has been wonderful for my back. I don't take any kind of medication for it, and I sleep better, sit and walk with more comfort. It's been great! good luck

depending on the type of back pain you are experiencing... and of course after careful examination by a physician, you could try strengthening your stomach muscles.
Most low back problems are related to muscle weakness and lack of movement. Muscle tightness is often the cause of low back pain. Three simple exercises that are highly recommended are
Hip Flexor - Stretch
Sit Back - Exercise
Knee to Chest - Exercise

First of all, be very careful. You really should not do anything unless you talk to your Dr., as you can really hurt yourself. After that, Pilate's is a great place to start. It is similar to Yoga and I had heard it is great for people with back pain. It is low impact. Check out this web site, it has instructional videos.

assuming the doctor approves how about a gentle yoga cass-some are desigmned for low bk pain also accupuncture

Try doing Yoga....it will strengthen you back muscles without it being too strenuous.....also wheat bags and hot water bottles help too.
