For some it is about relating to the music and or lyrics......any music can connect with your soul. Metal gives solace to me.......not all heavy metal is crazy you know......maybe you should read the lyrics of your friends bands.........they can be quite good. :)

I love "Techno" and "Alternative", but, "Heavy Metal" has it's place, I had AC/DC "Who MADE WHO" cranking out the speakers yesterday that I ripped one speaker, "Def Lepard" gets cranked, Van Halen, Priest, Metallica, The metal can't be removed from me, It's a much NEEDED element in music, you either feel it, or you don't, There's no "down the middle of the road" with metal ! !!
