ECW and Smackdown and are taped on the same night and arena which is on a Tuesday night, so they can edit it ready for Friday.

He was released, but I'm not sure why he wrestled either. I'm guessing he wrestled so that the match would not have had to be modified or cancelled.

Smackdown is taped on Tuesdays but not played on tv 'til Fridays. We're going to see it next Tueday, Oct. 3 here in Wichita! :) I'm so happy! I get to see Kennedy, Holly, (hopefully) and all the guys! It's going to be great. ECW will follow afterwards, so we get 3 good hours of wrestling at one show. :)

Smackdown is taped 3 days before it is aired,It is not live like Raw. Smackdown is normaly taped on Tuesday.

Smackdown is usually taped on Tuesdays, that's why. Sometimes they have "Supershows" where they show RAW live and tape Smackdown either before or after RAW depending on what timezone they're in..
