My boyfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I'm not that rich. I want to be able to make him something. I've drawn him a picture before and am making a calendar for Christmas but I'm stumped as to what I can do for his birthday? What could I make this time? I'd like it to mean something. I love him. :)

One year when I was cash poor, I made my boyfriend a coupon book of treats. Good for one backrub,..Good for a home cooked meal,...Good for a Hollywood kiss,.. etc. I made him dinner, a cake, and a card, and put the coupon book in the card. He loved it, and took the whole next year to use all of the coupons. He said it was a great reminder of his birthday every time he used a coupon.

You seem like the very creative, crafts-loving type.

You can take a very good picture of both of you together, something that shows the love you have for each other and dedication. Put it in a picture frame, decorate it. You could make it into a keychain and decorate it. You could put together a CD of songs that mean a lot to both of you, or you could put together a mini-album for him... Pictures of you two, poems and song lyrics that mean a lot, decorate it with whatever you have lying around the house :) Maybe you could find some beads, and make a special piece of jewelry, that's not too girly but just the right amount of manliness and love.

Good luck, and I know you'll think of something great.

You haven't said what you are good at or what materials are available to you.Maybe you should just write him a letter saying your feelings and how lucky you feel.I have not seen my lady in quite a few months and sometime I get a little frustrated but then i look at some of the notes I have of this nature and I smile inside..they are really special to me and give me confidence in us.

Go to the craft store and get a roll of wide red ribbon. Fashion the red ribbon into a giant bow. Wear it and nothing else. Give him his present to unwrap. Trust me, he'll remember that as long as he lives.

I agree with all of the photo answers. You can have a photo put on a mug or plate for very little money. I also like the scrapbook idea a lot.

Bake him his favorite cake or cookies. Put it in a dollar store container. Get a nice or funny card at the same store and a gift is born.

something neat might be to take a great deal of pictures together and make a scrapbook or something cute might be to have some take pictures of you telling a store with you movements and glue them into a book for example spell I LOVE YOU with you arms. the I then a heart and a U. something simple and cute maybe....

If u have an empty plastic containe the take it and sick a piece of velvet cloth over it, them stick some small decorations on it, like some beads or something, u can always mix and match colours. he can use it as a holder for pens, combs or something.
