Life in India is quiet in many places. In some cities, people are busy in IT and other manufacturing industries. States like Kerala are good for tourism and sight seeing. Pune is the best city to live. For sight seeing Goa and many places in Kerala and Karnataka are good. The Himalayas are still a sight to see.

There are many faces of life in India, basically live to exist struggle is on, prople are happy with the show off whatever little they have and whatever conditions they are forced to live. The coalition partners in the government come together not to serve the people and the country, but to loot the people and the country.

In India you have every lifestyle every climatic region and six seasons to boot. You can choose to shrink or expand as you like. It is the land of the epic hero Hanuman who could become as small as an ant or as big as a Mountain. Similarly you can choose to live within a Dollar a Day or burn out ten thousand of them in the same time span on living costs alone.
There are sterilised environments and horrible ghettoes too.

One needs to make up the life one wants . Refer Lonely Planet Tour Guides on India if you are looking for a short stay. Otherwise firwst make a whirlwind tour of the land and then make your own choice. Others' opinions can amount to only so much in worth.

Every place in India is different from one another....

Mumbai, madras.... life is kind of fast... i am talking abt the day to day life.... people don't wait for one another.... no formalities....

places like B'lore and Pune people are very friendly... its fun b'coz in b'lore you get to meet people from all walks of life and all places be it Indian or not......
pay is more.... so is the expense......

hyderabad, is according to me... not meant for a fun loving person. I think but for some visitor's paradise there is nothing else... i mean there are a few places unique in its own way.....well, you have all the medical facilities which could be there in other parts of the countries. but if you look at the cost of living, heard its less comparitively. not a safe place i heard.....

Calcutta cannot be described in words, you have to visit it to feel the charm and beauty... cost of living here is very low even if you lead the most luxurious lifestyle. In indian history you find many from here....
hey.... i can go on..... gujrat is a good place again.... Ahmedabad you fall in luv with the place as soon as you land in there.....
ok... i would like to stop here 'coz.. if i go on i will find it difficult to stop.....

Pune & Bangalore enjoy good weather. Mumbai is a 'happening 'but over populated metrapolis. Be prepared for great ,friendly , inquisitive people & a pretty crappy administration with regard to daily living - cooking gas ,electricity & bad infrastructure are still major problems. The people rock !
