That is a long probation. Do you mean by probation, you just started a job? Or did you get reprimanded at work and had to be put on probation? Well I would think to take a leave of absence during any probation you will probably loose your job.

You are eligible to get Casual Leave (One per month) and Medical Leaves (1 for every 14 working days to a maximum of 6 months on pro-rata basis...if your company allows so).

No, not usually. Most companies reserve a probationary employees leave time until after they have sucessfully completed their probationary period.
But you really should ask your employer's HR department to find out for sure how your employer handles these things.
