Apparently you do not have a hiatal hernia nor acid reflux, because that would have been visualized with a barium swallow as the upper GI series. Might it be possible that you have these issues with eating specific types of foods? I would recommend trying to not eat any spicy foods for a while nor any soda's or orange juice. These foods could be causing the symptoms that you are experiencing.

If the doctor said you're fine, it's probably stress. Take some over the counter Tagamet or something like it before you eat. And do physical exercise to get rid of the stress. Stress can cause a lot of symptoms.

Did you tell this to your Dr? And was that test for Acid Reflux or Gird? Maybe you should see another Dr. and have them check your esophagus. I thought an upper GI was for your stomach and digestion.

did you just have it done in the past day or two? it's common to have discomfort for a couple days but if it persists then make another appt with your doc.
