make sure that I'm not standing below you as you hit the ground.

Walk away. I stood on the edge of a cliff a few weeks ago and almost jumped. Now I'm glad I didn't, but then that's just me. As for you, you have to work out why you want to jump, is it all that important a problem, it may seem so but really think about it can it be sorted out just by talking to someone. Your local doctor or someone else you can trust or a phsyciatric type person at your local hospital

I would quickly build a fence or call an ambulance. For the cliff is alright if you're careful I say, and if you should slip and are dropping, it isn't the slipping that hurts you so much as the shock down below when you're stopping.

Also, the unforgivable sin only applies to those who take their own lives to spite those they leave behind. Ones who do so out of depression or mental illness get to go right into the light.

Depending on your age and viability I might ask if I could enjoy your body before you break it.

I mean, if you're prepared to just throw it away why not throw it my way first?

Waste not, want not, and all that.

Then I'd wish you a happy voyage, short as it may be, and continue on my own journey :oP
