I'm going to Egypt in a few weeks and would like to know how to get the best tan possible and how to keep it for a long time afterwards.

Exfoliate before you start to tan. It will also help to shave your chest/arms and trim your leg hair so that the sun can reach your skin evenly. Be careful with your sun exposure at first. Using a tanning lotion/oil with 8 or 4spf to keep you from burning. Make sure to keep your skin moisturized. After a few days you should be able to switch to lotion without spf or coconut butter/oil. Moisture is the most important thing. Keep lotion on your skin and continue moisturizing even after you return home. There are also lotions you can put on to help extend the life of your tan, but I've never used these so I cannot say if they work. Can't hurt though, right? Have fun!

The best tan is a sunless tan. Go to a professional salon & have them airbrush a tan for you. Be sure to exfolliate first, before having the tan sprayed. You may keep it up by using Jergen's body glow or the others that are on the market. Neutrogena also has a spray tan you can do yourself. No it won't turn you orange. But be sure to wash your hands when your done. Put a regular lotion on knees, elbows, etc so it won't be darker in those areas. PLEASE NEVER GO TO TANNING BEDS OR GO WITHOUT SUNSCREEN. Skin cancer is rising at an alarming rate, with melanoma being the deadly form. If cancer doesn't scare you then the wrinkles should. It prematurely ages your skin & you'll look like a dried up piece of leather. It's not worth the wrinkles & splochy skin that will result in tanning. In this situation fake tans are definitely the way to go. Have fun in Egypt, I'm sure it's a beautiful country.

well, take a special dose of the sunshine before ten a.m. and after 4 p.m. This is the best time to get the sunshine and to avoid getting skin cancer accdg. to dermatologists.
Go to the solarium and stay maximum 5 mins.
and just once or twice a week.
If you are still not happy, buy some tan lotions,
they wear off after sometime.
OK? Have fun in Egypt and don ´t miss the Pyramids. It´s a SIGHT to see.

I have very pale skin. A few weeks before I go on holiday I use ECOTAN tan accelerator. It is available from salons, house of fraser, QVC. I always get a very dark tan from it that lasts for weeks. I use it as a moisturiser after my holiday to prolong the tan. Everybody I recommend it to loves it.

It works by stimulating your melanocytes ( cells that produce the pigment that makes you go brown), thus making the body produce more, then you go darker.

I once went on a last minute holiday, never used it and did not go as dark.

A good tip is to use a mild false tan to keep topping up your natural tan.

Even the best tan in the world will eventually be lost because the top layer of skin is constantly being shed.Use plenty of sun cream and don't sit in the sun until you burn and peel and then apply after sun and when you get back home you could use the self tanning body creams which will make your skin appear sun tanned.

The best way to get a tan and keep it, is to build it up gradually. For the first few days use a high spf and gradually reduce it over the days. This way also prevents burning.
I'd personally opt for a fake tan anyway, it's much safer.

you should bypass to the tanning mattress. earlier you bypass you should actually exfoliatesand use a lotion that has truly good bronzers depending what tanning position you bypass to they provide help to understand the diverse manufacturers of creams with the most bonzers. pick wisely because to get the non-public tan the lotion with the most bronzers will do yet they're those which have a tendency to be very expensive,

My dad used to give me a good one with his belt, and I knew it lasted every time I tried to sit for a week, but I wouldn't recommend that approach.
