how do you get a suspected virus out that wont let me update my anti virus or even download anything to fix it

Such as spywear updates, every time I go to update my antivirus it will only open up the webpage after web page until it has no more resource to open up another of the same page, I cannot even do a scan from a web-site cause it tells me that im not authorized to go there.

Try booting into safe-mode, disconnecting from the internet completely, and running your virus/spyware/malware scans. If you literally have no security software currently installed (why on Earth not??), download them on another computer, copy to CD, and install on your own computer.

Google these names if you need software:

Avira Anti-Vir - Anti-virus software.

Spybot S&D - Anti-spyware, as well as other things.

Ad-Aware - Anti-adware.

All are free.

I had the same problem about 2 weeks ago on my laptop. run a virus check without updating, delete all internet temporary files, and run a ad/spyware check. If you dont have any of these, send me your email adress, and i will send you the free stuff. Most importantly your gonna wanna get to the net to run the check from the following link. I know its a pain in the ***, and it took me 8 hours to get rid of it. Do you have access to another computer to download files just in case.

If your having those type of problems I might consider backing up my Docs and reloading windows. Just start out fresh and have your firewall and anti virus up before you connect to the Internet.

When you reboot your computer, boot into safe mode with networking. Then try to update/scan.
