In the last episode Doomsday just before the Darlek's were sucked into the void, the black Darlek says 'emergency temporal displacement' or similar phrase (mind gone blank).
What do you think might happen in the new series about this if they come back to it?
Do you think it was to keep the Darlek's as a possible future baddie on an episode etc ?

We had supposedly seen the back of the Daleks before Christopher Eccleston's last episode in parting of the ways.
But the Emperor had rebuilt the Daleks.
So it is highly likely that after Sec initiated an "emergency temporal shift" and vanished the Daleks will be lurking somewhere.

The Daleks and the Cybermen will never be killed off as they are classic Doctor Who villains. There's always a way around obstacles like that in Doctor Who because of the whole time travel element. The next series is bringing back The Rani, another Timelord from the classic series, but the Doctor is meant to be the last Timelord??? Basically, even if a character or a whole race is wiped out, the writers will think of a way to bring them back.

Well, as the Doctor can travel in time, there's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't come across the Daleks again. Don't forget that the Doctor, in his fourth incarnation, visited Skaro at the Genesis of the Daleks, while he had been fighting them for three previous incarnations.

(I have to say that that's one of the main gripes I have with the new Dr Who, which is otherwise excellent - they seem to have completely forgotten that the Doctor can travel in time - how can he ever be the "last of the Time Lords"?)

The Daleks have to come back. Doctor Who wouldn't be the same if you knew they'd gone for good. I'm sure that at some point we we hear the dulcet tones of a Dalek screaming 'exterminate' down a corridor again.

of course they will come back. think about it the first series the doctor thought they had been destroyed in the time war, but they reappeared at the end of the first series, and rose destroyed them, or so they thought,
they have just been sucked into the void making the doctor believe they are destroyed again, but one managed to escape
so yeah they will most certainly be back at some point.

First of all its spelt Dalek, and secondly yes, of course, the point is the only tim and way he could destroy them was during the Time War, using the TIme Ram mechanism, in result he destroyed his own race the TIme Lords.

yeah of course my god can you imagine how boring it would be if they never had any more dale ks in it?i don't think the fans would stand for not having daleks, think back to the uproar when the Daleks where not going to be included in the Christopher Eccleston series.
