I wonder where your I.Q. test was done. Was it online? If your I.Q. is 145 you should be able to reason this question out.
Now let's look at a I.Q.. The only standard test i trust is the Stanford-Binet test.
Now if you took this test and scored 145 i am impressed indeed. I have taken this test and scored 136 now if you look at the scoring model.
140
Top Civil Servants; Professors and Research Scientists.
130
Physicians and Surgeons; Lawyers; Engineers (Civil and Mechanical)
120
School Teachers; Pharmacists; Accountants; Nurses; Stenographers; Managers.
110
Foremen; Clerks; Telephone Operators; Salesmen; Policemen; Electricians.
100+
Machine Operators; Shopkeepers; Butchers; Welders; Sheet Metal Workers.
100-
Warehouse men; Carpenters; Cooks and Bakers; Small Farmers; Truck and Van Drivers.
90
Laborers; Gardeners; Upholsterers; Farmhands; Miners; Factory Packers and Sorters
Hmm interesting your I.Q. range would indicate your spelling should be perfect. I am not one to judge my grammar and spelling are horrible. At the least you could use spell check.
So in the future before you make a claim of a genius make sure there are not a few online.
I just read the anwser that followed mine feel free to look at my anwsers. I use my knowlage to find the anwsers people need.

Hello, I'm at your age requirement. But I'm sure to exceed the attitude of you. How ever before you do something like deleting this perhaps you may want to spend sometime reading/researching the following sites:(some for and so against)
http://www.holisticmed.com/fluoride/
http://www.quackwatch.org/03HealthPromotion/fluoride.html
http://www.utahstatesman.com/home/index.cfm?event=displayArticlePrinterFriendly&uStory_id=e2996447-5cc4-4c33-b789-7b7647b836e1
http://befreetech.com/fluoridation.htm
http://www.fluoridealert.org/news/917.html
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0NAH/is_n2_v27/ai_20353563
http://www.dsrsd.com/news_and_event/Fluoride%20Back%20in%20Water%20.pdf#search='fluoride%20in%20the%20water'
Now as I said early on I'm not 40+, but I am willing to look for answer and I am willing to prove that age is not a boundary.
I say that because the hightest scoring IQ test results came from a23 year old girl. She scored well above 160. So before you think that brains only ocure in older people, remember that girl. Or remember that the average age for failing out. Or what is better known as forgetfulness or using less of their brain happens to be age 40. That I would beleive dose include your self. I'm sorry to say that smarts are not what really makes you better. And, it's definitly not age.
(age30-35 yr bracket)

What's the correction factor you used to arrive at 145? Methinks it was 145/90. I've read a number of your questions and "best" answers. Your spelling is atrocious, and your rudeness abounds. I suspect you have 2 accounts, or a crony who follows you around voting for your answers. Who ever told you that intelligence precludes stupidity?
The fluoridation of water supplies is a city decision, not county, State, or Federal. The benefits to oral hygiene have been well documented. The supposed risks have not. I suggest you climb back into your snowdrift & cool off.

Sir, I have not yet found the official reason why the government puts Flouride in our drinking water. However, I will continue to due research on the subject and attempt to come up with the proper answer.
I have researched your question. Is the answer "popular demand?"

OK... I do not need to tell you that you've butchered the words stupid, responses (as opposed to responces) and fluoride nor do I need to tell you that fluoride is beneficial for dental health... almost everyone else just did.
Fluoride in case you did not know can also be found in certain types of toothpaste... what you going to say about that?
And why do you have to go around saying people are stupid and say "no offence intended" (in addition to the vocabulary butchery)? Do you not know how hypocritical that sounds?

I am an Alex Jones fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!, but my IQ is 146. The reason is because the government became authorized to do so as a means of keeping our teeth from decaying years back but has not re-evaluated the decision in a while. Please note that the word stupid contains a "p" between the 3rd and 5th letters.

The government does not put fluoride in the water.
Water treatment is handled by your local township.
It is added to remove bacteria.
If you are suggesting it is a conspiracy maybe you should have your head checked for something else besides I.Q.
All of my grandparents have passed so you get this "Stuid"
response.
Who is Alex Jones and why should I care?

Well I'm 50 years old and the answer is (someone else already said it) to provide some help in the protection of your teeth. Also I'm certain that if you put something like 'flouride in water' into Google you would find what you want to know.

You say "no offense intended", but I'm sure you just about offended everyone.A high IQ obviously does not guarantee wisdom.
Fluoride in water was suggested to help strengthen and protect teeth and I dare say bones since there is also fluoride in tooth paste. But I have no idea what the REAL reason is.
Even though your obviously intelligent, try not to be so arrogant.

I don't know Alex Jones and I'm an intelligent 71 year old Great Grandmother with common sense and the wisdom to go with it.
Never mistake knowledge for wisdom.
One helps you make a living.
The other helps you make a life.
