considering the fact that it takes 365 days for a revolution it mat seem that it takes a preety long time to carry out the task but considering the fact that the distance it has to travel is about
900, 000, 000 kms with the minimum speed being30 km per sec one can say that it is quite a speedo.

It's all _relative_, man! ;)
The Earth revolves around the sun 1 time a year. That may seem kind of slow, but think about it. The Earth is actually moving, relative to the sun, at 29.658 km/s. That is VERY fast compared to anything we normally see here on Earth. 29.658 km/s is the same as 1779.48 km/h. That is faster than anything you'll see here on Earth.
But then you look at how far away the Sun is from the next star in our galaxy. That is millions of millions of miles! It would take several hundred (or perhaps thousand) years for the earth, traveling at it's relatively FAST FAST speed, to get just to the next star! And that distance is very very small compared to the diameter of our galaxy, or the distance from this star system to the next.
So, my friend, the answer to your question is both. The Earth revolves around the sun very fast compared to how fast we'd be able to walk around the sun by ourselves. But it goes amazingly slow compared to how fast galaxies and things like that move.

If you consider about 60,000 mph fast.
A little terminology folks. The Earth revolves around the sun. It rotates on it's axis.

Actually the earth stays in one place and revolves once a day, and the sun revolves in it's place once every year. The illusion then is that the earth is making one huge circle every year around the sun, but in fact the universe itself is revolving and contributing to that illusion.
