A high school reunion occurs 5, 10, 20, and 30 years after graduation. People from a certain graduating class (mine would be 1989) all get together to chat and see how everyone is doing. There is usually a dinner and dancing.

A college reunion is the same thing, except it is your graduation from college and your college years that are remembered.

Homecoming is a special football game. The seniors on the team are introduced as well as the homecoming court. People who graduated from the school (in any year) often return to watch the game and they can possibly meet up with old friends.

Then, the day after the game they have a special dance. A senior girl and a senior boy are voted for to become king and queen of the dance. It is a popularity contest, really.

Melanie gave you a clear and accurate answer. Some large colleges and universities plan all of their reunions on a single day, usually the weekend of the "Big Game" - Cal v Stanford, Harvard v. Yale, Texas v. Oklahoma, Michigan v. Ohio. The classes who graduated 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 . . . years before will meet at various hotels and social halls onthat weekend.

A small college may have all the alumns come to th ecollege on a certain weekend, with little booths for each class.

High school reunions tend to be smaller, and independent of other classes.
