I was recently playing "taxi" for my son and his girlfriend to a B&B circus. When I arrived at the end of the show, after having driven around aimlessly for a good while, SHE was bent on waiting for three hours for the show to end to get a clown's autograph. In my grown up perspective, I believe that clowns have the potential to be the dregs of society, bottom feeders, etc... What do you think?

I've never heard of a clown fetish, thats a new one by me.
I suspect she doesn't get out too much, it is a much more plausible explanation. She may be a scrap book fanatic, and really into that, at least she's not into drugs. Your son may have found a girl who enjoys simple (but different) things. At least she is easy to please. It may be annoying in a way, but at least thats all that it is.
If i had a dime for every time i was dragged around by a woman who made me wait or go somewhere i didn't want to, i would be rich.

I think that everyone's taste is different and if she wanted the clown's autograph, nobody should judge her for that. The clown was a celebrity in the circus and some people can't resist getting autographs of celebrities.

One of my college classes was honored by a visit from Bubba the Clown from The Greatest Show on Earth. He was dressed as a clown, but not acting like one. He gave the lecture that day, and of course it was mostly about his profession. He was intelligent, articulate, and very interesting. I still remember it after thirty years.

That is definately strange for ANYONE to want a clowns autograph. I would keep an eye on your son and if he starts wearing shoes that are a few sizes too big for him... panic!

How strange. That girl is even more immature than me. I wouldn't wait 3 minutes for some dumb clown's autograph. Maybe she thought he was hot or something.
