Im a photographer in Memphis and have wanted to do a series of ballet photos for about a year now. Most of the studios have there own photographer and allow no one else in.

Try posting an ad on Craigslist (the Memphis one is here: http://memphis.craigslist.org/) under "creative"http://memphis.craigslist.org/crg/ or "talent" http://memphis.craigslist.org/tlg/ gigs. It's free to post on craigslist, and a lot of models check it for freelance work.

Also try a local college or university dance department. Most art departments are more than willing to work with you, particularly if you'll give them a copy of the prints for display on campus.
