As fara as I know, they was mills that provide conditioning before the appearence of the electricity. They was also sign of aristocracy. Their history was in the middle ages.

they move round through wing and wind energy is converted into electricity.
they r used mostly on montainous areas and hill station.its is very cheaper as compared to hydro or thermal electricity!!
