You have to live with yourself for the rest of your life...Do you want to live with a phony? Would you like the self you molded yourself into? If you answer yes to both of these, then go ahead.

I think you should not be doing that. Being yourself would move you to success if you want to. Just let others realize your true presence and make them see the real you. In that way, they will also get to love you as "you".

On the other hand, faking it would only make matters worst. Really, do you want to create a double persona? I think not...

The answer to success, or promotion, on your case, is: accepting first who you are; letting others see the real you; and becoming professional n the job you have taken. It is not your character that needs to be molded but your capabilities and talents for that job. Of course, success also depends on little changes. And those changes would always have to be on the better side.

Good Luck!

You don' t have to mold it per se, but sometimes you have to do like in Rome just to fit in.

no, it's dishonest and it would be too hard to maintain a fake persona. you are who and what you are and eventually your real self would show through the facade.
