I guess it is a matter of opinion as to weather we are one, the other or both. I also feel when a person enjoys what they are speaking about, has good knowledge, believes in them self and what they are speaking about...well, it is kinda like a natural talent..it shows. I say this because I went to church my entire childhood until I was 20 years old and it was all I could do to stay awake no matter who was up at the alter. Then I had a client that came to me and always talked about God, Bible, Eternity what ever you label it and EVERY time he spoke he had my utmost attention. He was a man of God and he learned about it, loved it, lived it, taught it, spoke it and so on...not to mention I am Atheist and would not listen to anybody about that. Now about being a good listener...I think that there is a difference from hearing things and listening to things. Most people hear everything but were not listening myself included and once again I learned the difference from a life experience I won't elaborate on. Don't be offended by the MOST PEOPLE it was just terminology. Being a good listener is something LEARNED I think. I am a Cosmetologist and that's a profession you must be a good listener in...Indeed I am both!

Both ! I can talk a hell of a lot sometimes... but when the situation needs me to be the serious listener - then I'm pretty good at that too... Have a Great day !

I guess i am both. Only a good listener can be a good speaker and the vise versa.
