WELL, its ok if your inlove. BUT as you get older your goals and thoughts change. I am 27 i dont think like i did at 16-17-18. So give your self some time.

I don't think that marriage before 18 is a good idea if it's because of a pregnancy or the underage person wants to be an adult. I was married at 16 the first time, for the 2nd reason. Now if both parties involved are seriously in love, they should be able to wait. Although, under certian circumstances, I can see where it would be ok.

Well, I would say that they have a reason why age 18 is the legal age. My reason why is that usually, not always, but usually teens have a child and can only support it and themselves by having a job, a house, and you know the rest. You see they can't do this because they are not 18 or older. I think that the reason why you can only be 18 to marry is just to prevent a child living with parents who can't support it because they can't do much for being under 18. That would be my opinion just an opinion, nothing more.
Respectfully,

Its the not the right age for marrying.
Because marriage is not only abt sex it mainly involves understanding between two hearts.
When u r at 18 the girl u are marrying would be 16 or 17 or 18.
Both of you will be thinking at the same angle.so there are chances of egos and fights. Moreover decision making skills lack at this age.

We are animals, you see the rapid changes in a family pet over the first year?Well we change too you know. These changes don't slow down until maybe your mid 20's so how can your potential partner know who you are if you won't likely be the same in a few years? It isn't fair to either one of you to make a commitment of that magnitude when you have no possible way of KNOWING ( not feeling) that you are able to keep it.

my answer to this question would be that people getting married before the age of 25 is the reason why divorce rates in this country are so high. graduate from college, get a good job, then have your family.

It's not a question of being old enough or mature enough It is a question of changes.
People change between 18 and 22. Quite often one partner changes and gets serious about life and the other doesn't. the dreams we dream are realized and may not align with a partner who has or hasn't changed.

I THINK THAT VERY FEW PEOPLE AT 18 ARE READY. I WAS MARRIED AT 20, TWO YEARS AGO, AND NOW SOMETIMES WISH THAT I HAD OF SPENT MORE TIME GOING OUT, AND NOT SETTLING DOWN SO QUICKLY. DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE MY HUSBAND, AND WE HAVE A GOOD MARRIAGE. BUT, I THINK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF I HADN'T BEEN SO YOUNG. EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY THINK IT AT THE TIME, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR PARTYING OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM, AND THAT IT REALLY IS THE RIGHT PERSON YOU WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH. GOOD LUCK!

Nothing special except you will miss the opportunity of enjoying the singlehood for the next few years.
