If you refer to the players who participated @ the last World Cup, the tallest GK is NOT Cech but it is the Australian
ZELJCO KALAC - 202 cm (he is known as "spider")
who plays in Italy for AC Milan. He became famous in Serie A with AC Perugia (3 years) then he signed up for AC Milan in 2005, playing just few games, because Dida is the starting goalkeeper.
In the World Cup he played only one game versus Croatia (2-2) in substitution of Scwharzer: that game was not a good game for him, because the second Croatian goals (by Kovac) was an easy shot... that slipped from his hands and went into the goal.

Cech is 197 cm
Dida is 195 cm
Khan is 188 cm
Lehman is 190 cm
Buffon is 190 cm
and the "non-goalkeepers"
Podolski is 180 cm

The tallest is Petr Cech from Czech Republic and Chelsea.
born May 20, 1982 in Plzeň, Czechoslovakia and his height is 197 metres.

Dida and Petr Cech are both 6'5" and i haven't heard of anyone taller than that. kahn is about 6'1", podolski isn't a keeper, and neither is materazzi, jens lehmann is about 6'3"

there is this GK whose height is 2.02 metres..but I can't remember the name..I believe he is the tallest GK..
monika,podolski is not a GK..we're talking about GK..and podolski is not really a tall one..

i think it would be petr cech of czech republic and chelsea.(as long as you are talking on international basis)
