Do you think movies make teens, and people who have a ganster type personality want to be in a gang and do you think gangs is a threat to our national security. For example, I was watching a talk show, and in Iraq, there were gang gerfete on walls and at army parties there were military personel showing gang signs. Is it possible gangs are getting members to go into the military to get trained and then when they get out, they then train their other members. Yes No, why explain your answer

You can find "gang signs" in many common walks of life, not just the military. Ever been to a shopping mall? How about the streets of Los Angeles? Movie theatres, everywhere might have a "gang" related person there.

I hate when people see ONE tiny thing wrong about the military, then judge it like they are freakin Judge Judy. Ooh, one guy threw up a gang sign, so the military MUST be a bunch of baby killers and gangsters. SO not true.

No.Certain people are more likely to join a gang,but I don't think movies are an influence.Alot of military brats and gang members were abused as kids and like the structure and feelings of acceptance they get from gangs or the military.

I think that recruiters are lowering their acceptance standards, resulting in gang members being allowed to enlist. Maybe they enlist thinking that they can change their ways and make a better life, but end up falling back on old habits.
I really don't see a gang member joining the military with the intention of bringing back 'skills' to the hood. All they really do is deal drugs and kill people who get in their way. It doesn't take a great deal of training to do that.

no those are just ex gang members or poser wannabes.
gangs were more dangerous back in the 90's now a days they are no particular threat. To many simple minded teens, yes these movies may influence them.
But then again you and me watched Scarface and we aren't drug lords even if...well i can say i have the tony Montana personality.

In my countries gangs are very serious, they eat people, decapitate, rape, deal drugs, rob banks, etc.

Your talking none sense, all the military personnel you saw showing gang signs are people who's used to gang bang but they decided to do something with there life so they stop gang banging and join the services, like me I was going to be a Marine but I decide it to be a Bad Boy; once you enter the military Gangs wont accept you, because we can't trust no one in the military, I mean come on is almost like trusting a police officer...
