I have known this guy for over two years now, we have become bestfriends then feelings started growing on my side, He flirts with me by poking at me and we are always out together, he shows signs that he feels the same. A few months back he told two of my friends that he was torn between me and this other girl of course they told me about this...I finally told him a few weeks ago that i knew about this and he told me that he did not persue it because he did not want to hurt me, well three times so far i have ran into him and a few seconds later there she comes or i run into them together and it really hurts me, we have even talked about marriage and kids and i don't understand why he jokes around with me about that knowing how i feel towards him. We spend almost all our time together and if we get into a fight my friends say that he always seems depressed when i am mad at him. I don't know what to do anymore it hurts me when i see them together...do i walk away or keep trying?

It sounds like he is playing you. Leave him alone and find someone else. It sounds as if he is spending time with the both of you and probably telling her the same things he tells you. He is stringing you both along so he has someone to turn to when it doesn't work out with the other. Good luck !

Walk away from him.If he is going to flirt with other girls when he knows how you feel about him,it's not worth chasing. If you two were married,he would have an affair. And when he seems depressed when you are mad at him, that's a bunch of crap. He's just doing that because he knows that you will take him back in a sense-he knows that you will start talking to him again and that he can flirt with other girls.Avoid all contact with him-don't talk to him, don't take his phone calls (if he does call, tell him you're busy),don't answer his e mails, don't text him-don't do anything. After a while,he might ask you why you haven't been answering my calls,my e mails,etc.etc.-just tell him you have moved on and he needs to do the same. And move on-don't sit around for a guy who is going to treat you like that.

If you walk away he will chase that is how they function the minute you stop givimg a crap here they come baggage in hand so just stop dealing with him for awhile you will get his attention play a little hard to get.

I know it's probabaly hurting. I can imagine how it effects you.

But I think that you should keep being his friend.
Try not to think about this issue when you're hanging together.

Good luck!
