need to try and save pictures but won't let me access at all

SMART is a subroutine that predicts HD failure; try disable it in BIOS setup. SMART is safe to disable at this point of time to try to salvage whatever you can; just hope you can access and backup the stuff and ditch the HD without incident.

need a new hard drive. you can go thru bios and disable the smart, that should get you running for a little while till it dies.
