I don't hate it.
I don't see why people don't understand it. You just follow the procedures/formulas.

I don't hate math, rather I do like it. I think there're 2 reasons behind people hating any subject, they are -
1. Not all men are capable of the same things. I don't like biology doesn't mean everyone has to do the same. And of course, it doesn't mean no one can have natural ability to understand biology-related materials. It's just what your interests are and what suits you most. This feeling can make you 'not interested' in a particular subject, but i'm afraid can't make you 'hate it'.
2. Sometimes the education systems make us deprive of the real essence of a particular topic. With continuous emphesis on the textbook based studies and less scope of innovations, a fear grows in the mind of a student who doesn't perform well in his exams. Inspite of being naturally apt at a particular subject, his failure in the exams makes him think that 'I'm not made for this or that, I just hate it!'.
So, I believe, it is understandable not to have certain interest in a particular subject, that's alright. But, to hate it - means there's something wrong in your approach or the system's approach, just what the case in your problem.

Math is the one thing in the world I can't do with close to absolute perfection even if my life depended on it. I have a high vocabulary... I study religion constantly... I love learning history and I am addicted to detail... I can't for the life of me remember the multiplication chart though. Some people like me don't understand because they were never properly taught the basics and no one bothered finding a way for it to relate to them... Other people are just lazy.

It reminds me of my grade 9 math teacher that thought it was funny to have sardines and onions every day for lunch and then get up real close to you if you had a question. No one learnt to much that year.

I enjoy maths. A straight line is the part of circumference of a circle whose radius is infinite. And that circle surrounds the universe.
