Hey guys. I've been posting simular questions every month for a while now.
I recieved a ticket in the mail on May 31st of 05. The date written on the ticket was May 15th, at which time I was in Spain. The case was continued many times until July 06. At that time they changed the date to March 31st, which I was unprepared to defend myself against. (My lawyer, who was not court appointed, let all this slide) I was sentanced to 15 days in Jail and 3 years with no lisence despite the fact that I have never had a ticket. (I've had my lisence more than 3 years) We appealed, because I am in college full time and working 37 hrs a week, and obviously cannot afford to go to jail. I honestly do not believe I passed this school bus. the bus driver no longer remembers the time, the lisence plate, or the road name, though she says she has gotten 6 other people tickets at the same place. My next court date is Oct. 16th. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Please be professional :-)

Get a copy of your airline ticket, proving that you were in Spain. That should be all that's necessary. Don't know why you would even need a lawyer.

Yeah the copy of the airline ticket should do the job. If you were in Spain you couldn't have passed the bus.

Go to court, plead nolo contendre if your lawyer agrees or get another lawyer to go to court with you. If this is at all important to you you will get it handled and over with.
