well most teachers can see right thourgh any excuse unless you are actaully a really good student and you forgot your home once in a blue moon and then it's best to just go ahead and tell the teaher the reason you didn't get it done. if your family had something to do and you didn't get it done just tell your teacher. Most teachers or most of mine in school would let one homework slid or let you redo it for a lower grade until you didn't have say five home work assigments and then you got a zero. so if your a good student just tell them you don't have it and see if they will let you re do it or something. Sorry I was a goodi goodie in school

I'm an adult, and I'd say the best excuse it that most of it is senseless and it's an intruison on your time that might prevent you from doing something meaningful in your spare time, such as learning a real skill or starting a small business like mowing lawns or something on eBay.

Now, because I'm an adult, people can't pull rank on me, or try to take away my right to Freedom of Speech. SCHOOL STINKS for the most part!

The dog ate my homework. Actually it wasn't really an excuse, it was true. My mom even had to write a note and put the pieces of paper in a bag to prove to the teacher I wasn't lying.

I like the challenge of cramming for tests then acing them (which rarely happened unless I did my homework on a regular basis but I sure could convince myself otherwise)

for me, anything that stop me from taking good action is just an excuse, and the best excuse is any excuse itself := ) so let's just do it! it is we ourselves who are going to gain the benefits!
