I'd have to agree on the pick of Morneau for MVP -
I don't generally think of the MVP as a pitcher, since he only plays every 3rd or 4th game. Maybe if Santana had 22 or 24 wins on the season, but hey... he should still get the Cy Young!
Ditto on Mauer, he doesn't play every game (gotta save those knees), doesn't have a lot of RBI, and he'll still get the batting title.
I'd say Morneau is the guy who has come through in the clutch for the Twins this season and he's second in the AL in RBI (129). That, to me, represents a lot of games they wouldn't have won without him.

santana may only play every 5th game, but him being around has an effect one the game before and after hist start, so 3 of 5
the day before, the manager knows he can use up his bullpen if need be, cause santana will take at least7-8 innings away from the pen right away, so they may have a closer come in, thats usually it, right? thats day 1
that means they can rest for the day he pitches, thats day 2
3rd day, they will all be fresh again, as they all rested yesterday, so they are almost all available to be used again.
plus honestly, who has been more consistenly dominant on the mound in the last 3 years? i think the only person who came close was eric gagne during his saves streak he had going
santana is the most important and valuable player on the twins, hands down

Santana,he has a chance to lead the pitching league in the 4 major categories, the "quadruple crown" which is just amazing.this guy might even be both mvp and cy young.i know mauer was tremendous, also morneu, but this guy is the boss,he is the type of player u build a team around.

I think that the twin mvp would be between Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, and Johan Santana

Johan is the most dominant pitcher in the game in the last 3 years. He'll win the Cy Young this year. He'll get his credit come award time so I say the Twins should instead give it to:
Justin Morneau
And don't get me wrong, Johan is my favorite baseball player.

The popular choice would be Mauer, because he's a hometown guy, but you're right. With Liriano out, they simply can't win without Santana being on top of his game every time he goes out there.
