I just saw a bullet for the first time and it's like smaller then a suppository!!! how can it kill? it's so small? (i mean, i'm not talking the head or stuff) but in movies I see people get shot in the stomach and they die. sorry so graphic (but i just wanted to exclude the head... i get that part)...but the rest of the body, i don't get how a small, suppository size bullet can kill. thanks

Well a gut shot is a slow painful death. As a bullet enters a body the end expands like a mushroom, in turn it gets wider and does more damage. And a round like the .223 (the round from the m-16) is designed to enter the body and once it hits a bone it will change direction. that is one of the deadliest round known to man because it can enter a leg and end up in a shoulder due to the fact it just bounces around in the body until it loses all its kinetic energy. There are other bounds that make bigger holes but they usually enter and exit in a straight line. I tried to describe it in laymens terms for you. hope this helps

The bullet you were holding is actually a casing that holds the projectile and the powder to fire it. The projectiles comes out of the gun very, very fast ... that's the first part of the equation. The second part is when the projectile runs into something, it mushrooms out (it gets bigger and more jagged) The third part is when the projectile runs into something, it starts to tumble like it's doing cartwheels. So now you have a really fast moving, jagged object tumbling through skin, muscles, blood vessels, bone, ect. That's where the damage comes from, and yes ... it does kill quite effectively.

A small bullet can sever major arteries causing massive bleeding.

Rifles and more powerful hand guns deliver the bullet at high speeds. The bullet will flatten or fragment to cause massive damage. There is also a hydraulic shock wave created, that can destroy much soft tissue.

nicely, we had an illustration right here in l. a. about a month or 2 in the past and it turned right into a disaster. The demonstrators were non violent. No incidents in any respect. The police officials, for some reason it somewhat remains uncertain, impulsively began taking formation to bathe the section and began capturing 'nonlethal' rubber bullets and began hitting and wailing on the demonstrators AND the media newshounds and tv digital camera crew who were reporting on the progression. It changed into undesirable and it changed into all stuck on tape and shown round So. Cal information. we do no longer have it as undesirable as what you defined, yet supply it time. i somewhat would not be taken aback if it got here all the way down to that contained in the close to destiny. The police officials in can charge that day were both fired or transfered to doing table paintings only or to a unique police branch. police officials global are transforming into out of hand. i understand police officials and military communities in Oaxaca are killing newshounds and demonstrators who're accessible annoying their rights. Human rights Watch has only listed Mexico because the most deadly us of a contained in the international for newshounds. sturdy success to you.

gut shot is the slowest and most painful shot, you die by bleeding out into your body cavity, slowly and the stuff in your stomach leaks out and starts infecting your body cavity. any place you can pierce a vital organ, liver, kidney, pancreas, heart and you cant live without them. if you cut through a vein with a bullet you can bleed to death in a few minutes. it doesnt take a large hole to kill, and you have to realize how fast they are going, plus if you get shot in the head a bullet ping pongs around inside your skull scrambling the brain tissue. there is so much you dont know, and i really dont either, you need to listen more closely on csi . it takes so little to kill the fragile human being.

actually a bullet to the stomach is not necessarily fatal,
if it rips through the liver or pancreas , then you're in serious trouble.
to your heart or lungs is fatal.
that's why Wyatt Earp shot for the heart most times ...LOL,
also consider that some bullets travel faster than the speed of sound...
how many times did i see John Wayne get shot and still lived long enough to die of cancer?

because on the way out, bullets split into a bunch of fragments, and dissapate through the body, and it tears a big hole in them, and plus, loss of blood, if it hits the liver, or any other vital organ, and plus, theyre going really fast

99% of the time people die from gun shot wounds, it is from the loss of blood. There's oxygen in blood and loosing it means difficulty to remain conscious. If someone is unconscious long enough, they'll die.
