The vagina is what they call a self-cleaning organ. It makes secretion to aid in ridding the uterus and vaginal walls of sediment from infection, menstruation, and intercourse. Discharges can be for other reasons like STD's and being pregnant. Some women have alot of discharge and some don't. It can also be considered as lubricant for comfort during sex.
