I have a large corner lot, you see, with a thick stand of old pine trees right at the corner where a major thoroughfair and my neighborhood's main street come together.
Lately, Bob has taken to crouching down among the trees and just watching the traffic on the main drag for hours, just squating there and swinging his big tail from side to side--not really doing anything but just watching.
Well, that's not completely true! I've noticed that Bob seems to get agitated every time a city bus goes past and even more agitated when it is loaded with LOTS of passengers.
Huh! You know?
So--is this something I ought to get concerned over? I mean, the buses are pretty fast and ought be able to outdistance Bob if the lights are with them.
I just hate the idea of putting Bob on a chain because he is REALLY GOOD at keeping squirrels away from my pecan trees in back AND ridding me of stray cats coming up and yowling under my windows at night.
--Give me some feedback on this, OK?

BONNIE--Perhaps if you ponder the words farce and foolishness, you will become enlightened. (Moving on, glad to have you tagging along.)

It could be puberty or it could be a health problem. Does he get enough iron and protein? When was the last time you increased his feed? Since he is a growing boy he may need dietary supplements.
I know I had that same problem with my Sammy boy. Once I started giving him supplements, he stopped looking at moving people and vehicles. He didn't want to take them until I started giving them to him by hand. Watch out for his teeth. Sometimes Sammy forgets how strong he is and nips my fingers. I got his supplements at T-Rex-r-us. Look on the bottle for his age and weight to know how many to give him. But I must worn you it is easier to have the bottle delivered instead of picking it up.
Do you play fetch with Bob? I found that helped get rid of some of his excess energy. But the tree trunks we use as sticks get to be a little heavy. What is Bob's favorite chew toy? I have semi tires brought in about every two weeks. Retrends work ok but he likes new ones the best. When he was teething I had to have tires brought in once or twice a week but then I could use regular large truck tires. Oh the drool was everywhere. I could not keep my house clean at all
Also since my Sammy boy is an primarily inside T he keeps the mice away. And unwanted sales people and religous folks. The only problem I have is getting the little girl scouts to stop by so I can buy cookies. Isn't it frustrating how many people misunderstand our pets?
Best of luck with Bob's little problem. He will grow out of it I'm sure.
Also watch out for low flying aircraft. My Sammy thinks they are toys and he tries to swat at them.
LMAO

This is grand. I think Bob might be having issues. Has he seen Jurasic Park lately? I think the larger objects to us are appealing to him because he is larger then they are. Perhaps you are not feeding him enough? He is looking for something to play with? You should let him play with the others.
A chain just might be the answer. Bob sounds like an awesome pet! Good luck :)

Oh no, you poor thing. I have the same problem with my pet raptor, her name is Gail. she is so beautiful. I finally had to put a fence up around the yard, she actually got out once and attacked this little kid on a tricycle. It was horrible, but luckly she ate him completely and no one knew he was killed, Just thought the neighbor kidnapped him. But after that I put up a fence, so she wouldn't get in trouble anymore. I think you should do the same thing. It will probably be best, don't want him getting out and hurting someone.
Oh we should so take them for walks together, I think they would like that.

I wouldn't worry. Bob is probably entering puberty and waiting for the bus to stop and let off all the cute girls. Hopefully, he will just look but you might want to monitor his behavior for awhile just in case.

Ugh!, yes I'm still digging, digging, but at least I know your T-Rex's name now. Sooo drives me nuts that everyone knows about you pet........digging, digging, digging............oh!, is this word play? If you say yes maybe I won't need to pick the questions apart so much. Let me know I really could get on the right track to at least having a mediocre answer....almost have no fingerprints left!! Come on, another hint please. Thanks

Have you tried intermingling Bob with other T-rex's?? maybe he wants more social interaction.

I think the person who sold him to you ripped you off. He's actually a raptor, practicing his skills...
